Maximum operability

Operability is one of the features that put apart Eurotecnica's melamine process from the rest and that made our process the most widespread in the world. Every single aspect of the plant has been thoroughly considered from the point of view of the operator.

The reactor is as simple, flexible and reliable as an heat exchanger. There are no recycle loops, no compressors, no fluid bed nor catalyst to be taken care of. The very high pressure inside the reactor allows to keep the pressure at high levels also in the downstream equipment and in the stream of off gases going back to the urea plant, thus greatly simplifying the integration of the melamine plant in a fertilizer complex.

Start up and increase of production is as fast as feeding the feedstock to the reactor. Quality is on spec right from the first ton and turndown is extremely low.

There is no risk of pipe or valves clogging as the entire process up to the crystallizer is entirely in liquid or gaseous phase.

The time between two normal turn-arounds is now up to 810 with 24hr/day operation and our plants are normally run above 100% of their capacity.
