Economic Evaluation of Eurotecnica Melamine Process

The approach to the economic evaluation may differ for every new points, however there are a few point dictated by common sense that must be taken into account.

In a properly integrated Eurotecnica Melamine plant, the cost for raw materials is limited to net urea consumption plus the costs for re-converting the off gas to urea (see scheme below)
On the other hand, the investment evaluation must include the costs for urea integration, which are typically a very small fraction of the melamine investment.

Integration with Urea

Since the Eurotecnica Melamine Process has basically zero liquid discharge and fully controlled gaseous emissions, there are no hidden costs for environment protection

Due to the easy operability of the plant and to the very high stream factor (intervals between shut downs for routine maintenance up to 810 days), yearly maintenance costs can be estimated to be less than 1% of the investment, including the allowance for spare reactor tube bundles.
